The Chairman of Nations FC, Dr. Kwame Kyei, led a delegation of the club’s management and supporters’ leaders to extend their condolences at the one-week observance of the late Asante Kotoko super fan, Yaw Frimpong, popularly known as “Nana Pooley.”
As a show of support, the delegation donated an undisclosed amount of money along with several packs of bottled water to the grieving family and mourners gathered for the ceremony. Their gesture was deeply appreciated, as it demonstrated solidarity within the Ghanaian football community during this difficult time.
Nana Pooley, a passionate and devoted supporter of Asante Kotoko, tragically lost his life on Matchday 19 of the Ghana Premier League when Kotoko faced Nsoatreman FC. Reports indicate that he was allegedly stabbed, leading to an outpouring of grief from the football fraternity.
The Ghanaian football community continues to mourn his loss, remembering him for his unwavering love and dedication to Asante Kotoko.
