The deadlock was finally broken in the 60th minute when in-form forward Emmanuel Annor latched onto a clever pass from substitute Richard Danso and calmly slotted home to give Nations FC the lead.
Moments later, Charwatey doubled the advantage from the penalty spot after winning the spot kick himself with a surging run into the box. The momentum was fully with the home side, and they didn’t let up.
Kevin Ampoful put the icing on the cake with a stunning volley to make it 3-0, sealing a memorable night for Nations FC.
The win puts Nations FC three points clear at the top of the table with two matches left to play, placing them in a strong position as they head into matchday 33. The dream of lifting the title is very much alive.
