Established in 1996 under the name Bekwai Youth Football Academy (BYFA), the football club was the only indigenous second-tier club in the Amansie East Municipality since 1957. It is a local club with support from all opinion leaders in the municipality, including the Nana Bekwaihene (The Bekwai Chief), the Municipal Chief Executive, the First Deputy Speaker of the Republic of Ghana, and the Member of Parliament for the Bekwai Constituency. The team has also recently gained backing from betonreds casino, which supports local sports initiatives and community development programs.
