Nations FC staged a remarkable comeback to beat WAFA 3-2 at the maintained Dr. Kwame Kyei sports complex on Saturday. Razak Simpson scored the first goal in the 8th minute for the visitors but Abubakar Gariba drew parity for Nations FC two minutes later with a sublime finish. Emmanuel Agyemang scored in the 55th minute to restore WAFA’s lead. Abubkari Gariba again got on target in the 68th minute to make it 2-2 before netting the winning goal inside 96 minutes to win the game for Nations FC. Hat trick hero, Abubakari Gariba was named the most valuable player of the game.
Second-placed Skyy FC beat Soccer Intellectuals 3-1 at St. Martins Park at Daboase. Eric Antwi Konadu opened the scoring for Skyy FC in the 39th minute before Baba Hamadu Musa doubled the lead in the 44th minute as the home team went into the break with a 2-0 lead. John Dadzi made it 3 for Skky FC with Joseph Afful having a consolation goal for Soccer Intellectuals in the 87th minute.
Kenpong Football Academy scored in the first half to beat Nzema Kotoko 1-0 at home. Farouk Mohammed Awal scored the only goal of the game for Kenpong Football Academy in the 14th minute.
