As part of preparations for the resumption of the season, Nations FC engaged in a friendly match against the Black Satellites at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
Both sides used the game as an opportunity to assess their strengths, with the Ghana U-20 national team fine-tuning their squad ahead of the upcoming U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
This marked Nations FC’s second competitive friendly, having previously faced Division One side Okwahu United.
Head coach Kassim Mingle utilized the match to experiment with new formations and evaluate his team’s readiness for the season ahead.
Nations FC took the lead in the first half through goals from Sadiq Alhasson and Barimah Baah. The Black Satellites responded in the second half, pulling one back via a penalty, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Nations FC from securing victory.
Buoyed by this win, Nations FC will now shift their focus to the next Ghana Premier League fixture, an away clash against Bibiani Goldstars at Dun’s Park on Matchweek 23.
